If you mean the PCV system, look closely, they are plugged. I tapped new ports up on the intake cam covers which will be routed to a catch can. If you mean the EGR system, two reasons. One, recirc'ed exhaust gasses help buffer the combustion process, which helps prevent detonation. Two, it's very handy to still have this beast streetable, so I do intent to keep it registered and (barely) smoggable.
